تنظم هيئة أوراكل التعليمية المسابقة الدولية وذلك فى الفترة من 25 أغسطس 2010 إلى 27 أبريل
2011 .وتهدف المسابقة الى تنمية المهارات لدى الطلبة فى حل مشكلات حقيقية فى المجتمع من خلال العمل التعاونى و تطبيق التفكير النقدي، وتكنولوجيا الاتصالات ، وتنمية مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين.

ومن الجدير بالذكر أن مسابقة ThinkQuest تتم في إطار التعاون بين وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات ، وزارة التربية والتعليم ووزارة التعليم العالي. وقد وضعت الوزارات الثلاث مبادرة تطوير التعليم عن طريق تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات لتوفير تكنولوجيا
المعلوماتوالاتصالات لجميع المصريين بتكلفة مناسبة. وتعد هذه المبادرة شراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص لتحسين العملية التعليمية
نجوم العلوم" البرنامج الترفيهي العلمي الأول
بمبادرة من مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع يعود " نجوم العلوم" البرنامج الترفيهي/العلمي الأول من نوعه في
العالم العربي في موسمه الثاني لإلهام الجيل الجديد من المبدعين العرب.
بعد حملة بحث واسعة شملت ثلاث مراحل من التصفيات، من ضمنها جولة على ثمان دول عربية (مصر، السعودية، الأردن، لبنان، المغرب، تونس، الإمارات وقطر)، تم اختيار ستة عشر شابا وشابة من الشباب العرب ومن مختلف الجنسيات والاختصاصات الأكاديمية من قبل لجنة تحكيم من كبار المتخصصين في مجالات الهندسة والعلوم والتصميم وإدارة الأعمال. (مرحلة البحث الطويلة واختيار الأفضل تلخصها الحلقات الأولى الثلاثة من البرنامج).
بعد مرحلة التصفيات الأولى ينتقل المشتركون الستة عشر إلى واحة العلوم والتكنولوجيا في قطر لبدء العمل على تنفيذ مشاريعهم في مختبر أو ورشة عمل صممت خصيصاً لتلبية احتياجاتهم العلمية والتقنية، حيث يحظى أيضا المشتركون بدعم عدد من الخبراء و الأخصائيين العرب والأجانب.
بعد فترة من التأهيل النفسي والتحضير الذهني والتدريب على كيفية استغلال المهارات الشخصية (الحلقة الرابعة من البرنامج)، تبدأ المنافسة الحقيقية بين المشتركين الستة عشر وتمتد على أربع مراحل:
مرحلة الإثبات الأولي للفكرة (الحلقة الخامسة) و فيها يتم اختيار عشرة مشاريع من أصل الستة عشر لمواصلة رحلة الإبداع التنافسية.
مرحلة الهندسة (الحلقة السادسة) وفي نهايتها تختار لجنة التحكيم ستة من المشاريع العشرة.
مرحلة التصميم (الحلقة السابعة) ويبقي في ختامها خمسة مشاريع فقط.
مرحلة الإدارة والتسويق (الحلقة الثامنة) يتأهل في نهايتها أربعة مشاريع فقط لتخوض المنافسة النهائية على لقب " نجوم العلوم " التي ستطلق خلال حفل ختامي ضخم .
في كل مرحلة من هذه المراحل الأربعة تقوم لجنة تحكيم مؤلفة من مجموعة من الخبراء من أعضاء دائمين وزوار متخصصين بتقييم المشتركين ومشاريعهم.
للمشتركين العشرة المتأهلين من مرحلة الإثبات الأولي للفكرة الحق في اختيار شريك عمل ينضم إليهم في المختبر لمساعدتهم خلال المراحل المتقدمة.
حفل ختامي ضخم مليء بالمفاجآت (الحلقة التاسعة) سيجمع المشتركين الأربعة المتأهلين من مرحلة الإدارة والتسويق لإطلاق مشاريعهم رسميا.
المراتب والجوائز الأربعة الأولى ستحددها لجنة تحكيم موسعة وتصويت المشاهدين عبر الهاتف والرسائل القصيرة عبر الجوال. قيمة الجوائز الأربعة الإجمالية $ 000 600 توزع كالتالي:

The Biotechnology/Biomolecular chemistry program is a new specific program at faculty of science Cairo University that was launched at September 2006. As a new program we think, and act differently. The selection system used to choose students allows the ensemble for more creative and cooperative groups of young minds. This system has been proven true by a great deal of excellence and sense of responsibility observed in our previous activities, conferences and symposia.
Respectively, the Biotechnology/Biomolecular chemistry program intends to hold the First International Biotechnology Innovation Conference (a three day conference), it will take place November 21st: 23rd, 2010. The opening ceremony will be held in the main celebration hall, and the rest of the scientific events will take place in the Cairo university conference center, while the social and entertainment events will be done outside the campus.
International distinguished scientists will be invited to attend the conference and referee the inventions participating in the conference according to their specialization. Other young scientists (18-35 years old) from other universities and disciplines, locally and internationally, will be invited to present their own inventions and innovations in the different scientific fields.
